Who we are
Went is made by fneeg (“we”, “us”). If you have questions about this policy, email [email protected].
Health and medical disclaimer
Went is a workout attendance, habit and membership-value tracking app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or personalised health recommendations. Information and comparisons shown in the app are provided only for general information and motivation.
Before starting or changing an exercise programme, or if you have questions or concerns about your health, consult a qualified doctor or other healthcare professional.
Data that stays on your device
Everything you enter in Went is stored only on your iPhone (and in your own iCloud/device backups if you use them):
- your workout schedule, check-ins (“I went”), missed and skipped sessions, breaks;
- your membership price, currency, dates and spending comparisons;
- your settings, such as colour, coach style and reminders.
We never receive this data. Home Screen widgets and Live Activities read it from your device only. Reminders and nudges are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. You can delete all of it at any time in Settings › Erase all data, or by deleting the app.
Advertising (free version)
The free version of Went shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking in the iOS “Allow tracking?” prompt;
- other device and app information such as device model, operating system, IP address (used to estimate an approximate location), and how you interact with ads;
- diagnostic data about ad performance.
If you don't allow tracking, ads are still shown but are not personalised using your IDFA. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice later.
Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Your workout and membership data is never shared with Google or any advertiser.
Went Pro and purchases
Went Pro subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we don't receive your name, email or card details. We may use a subscription service provider (such as RevenueCat) to check whether your subscription is active; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, not your workout data. Went Pro removes all ads.
Children
Went is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because your Went data never leaves your device, you control it directly: view, change or erase it in the app. For data collected by Google for ads, use the consent and tracking settings above or Google's own tools. If you live in a region with data-protection rights (such as the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you can contact us at the address above with any request.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
